We currently have four community program which take place on the following days:
Tuesday:
Penrose Community Center from 4-6pm - help kids aged about 6-12 with their homework, and then lead a garden/sustainability related activity. Meet at 3:45 at the bell tower to walk over together (Penrose is at 12th and Susquehanna), or just meet us there. Contact Gab Taube (tuc51764@temple.edu ) for more info.
Wednesday:
1) Raymond Rosen Community Center at 12:30pm - teach gardening lessons to Philadelphia residents who will eventually take over running their own community garden at a PHA site. Raymond Rosen is located at 23rd and Diamond. Contact Alison Merrick (alison.merrick@temple.edu).
2) Kairos House at 3:30pm - teach lessons and lead activities that promote healthy eating and lifestyles to members of Project H.O.M.E. Meet at Barnes & Noble on Broad & Cecil B. to walk over together. Contact Katy Ament (kgament@temple.edu ). Kairos House is located at Broad and Jefferson (one block south of Fresh Grocer).
Saturdays:
Kairos House Art at 11am - help Project H.O.M.E members do simple art projects that are related to gardening and environmental sustainability. Contact Phoebe Bachman (phoebe.bachman@temple.edu).
